Carbón Club (Coal Club) is an original creation by Markeliñe for open air areas.

It also displays unconcealed admiration for men and women who work in mines. The darkness of night and coal combine to form the background of this singular cabaret.

This is Club Coal, the diamond related to coal.
A large format show with a deep background, where stories connected with mines are told in Cabaret style.
Fun, irony, reminiscence and demands are present in each scene of the show. Descending into this mine is like looking into another; the others we could have been if the die had been cast in a different way.

"The day ended with another of the long awaited premieres: Markeliñe and its "Coal Club", a well-finished, well-made piece with undeniable achievements concerning images, the handling of the story, the distribution of intense moments, with valleys and transition periods and, this time, with a spectacular extra: it all happens in a mining cabaret, at times with nostalgia and at time with death. And a novelty; there is a case of homosexual love between two miners. In other words, there is a conflict.

The scenes, the rhythm, the aesthetic whole have been well rounded off; there is no doubt that it is a good show with excellent use of special effects and sound, which goes back to the aesthetic line and dramatic structure of this Basque group which provides the greatest force to their proposals..."
