SILENT VISUAL THEATRE SHOW

From a very young age children are confronted by the reality of 'The enemy' and 'war', they see it in films or on the television, even the shops are full of 'action' dolls. Recognising this as the social reality to which children are exposed, Markeliñe present us with a different version of war. Through Mambrú, a young farm girl, we are led into an intimate vision of war closely connected to the feelings and emotions of Mambrú and her enemy soldier. The play unravels how these two soldiers eventually become friends, only to be separated again when war results in death. Simply and beautifullytold for children, it amuses and surprises, and leads even the youngest to ask about conflict and the effect of war on human relationships.
