In Markeliñe, there are some elements that are repeated throughout their shows: the gamble for original creations and the search for a personal stage code. And, of course, the gestures of their actors. Our intention is to develop plays that are mainly visual, with the predominance of the gestures of actors and, especially, surprise, both in acting and in the set design.

Since 1986 we have created and produced many shows for theatres, children's theatre and proposals for the street, which have provided us with our own personal style and a consolidated presence in the world of theatre.

We must mention the participation of the Company Markeliñe in important international festivals (France, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Finland, Ireland), and the recognition of the quality of our creations: "Armagedon" (Ercilla Award 1991)"La Garbo S.A.-Kale gorrian" (Teatro Vasco Crítica Award and Jury Award 1996, Arriola Award 1997)"Kartoibiraka"-"La vuelta al mundo en 80 cajas" ("Around the world in 80 boxes) (F.E.T.E.N. Awards 1998, finalist Max Awards 1999, Max Award 2000)"Mambrú" (F.E.T.E.N. Awards 2001, TEATRALIA AWARD 2001)"DSO" (Award to the best Basque performance Leioa 2002, Award to the best street performance Fira de Tárrega 2002, Award from the Audience at Vilarreal, Award to the best large format set at Valladolid 2003.
